Questions from Clover Basin customers

Does my HOA allow a dumpster in the driveway?+

Most HOAs allow short-term roll-off dumpsters for projects, but some limit how long one can stay or ask you to notify them. Check your HOA guidelines — and choose a shorter rental (3 or 5 days) if they're strict. It costs less, too.

Will the dumpster damage my driveway?+

Our drivers set dumpsters down carefully on the rails, right where you ask. If you'd like extra protection, put a couple of boards where the rails will rest and mention it in your booking notes.

Longmont Then & Now

Before the neighborhood

When we were kids, we rode along with Dad in his trash truck. Out where Clover Basin is now, much of the land was still open.

Today it's streets, parks and families — and we're still hauling for the people who live there.

Longmont's edges were farm country for most of the town's history. On the west edge of town, the Hover family bought a 160-acre farm on the west edge of town in 1902 and grew alfalfa, raising sheep and cattle on the land.

Longmont grew fast in the late 20th century — from about 43,000 residents in 1980 to about 71,000 in 2000, and past 100,000 shortly after 2020. Much of that growth happened on former farmland at the edges of town, including the southwest.
